Chelford Mobile Services exists because too many portable toilet hire companies treat the job as an afterthought. Units arrive filthy, servicing schedules slip, phone calls go unanswered, and someone on your site or at your event is left dealing with the consequences. We decided that was a poor way to run a business.
Founded in Cheshire, CMS operates from depots in Cheshire and Shropshire, giving us direct reach across nine counties spanning the North West, the Midlands, and North Wales. Every unit in our fleet is owned by us. Every driver, technician, and office staff member works for us. We do not subcontract deliveries, servicing, or collections to third parties — ever. When you book with CMS, you are dealing with the people who will actually turn up.
This matters more than most clients realise until something goes wrong. Subcontracted suppliers mean divided accountability. If a unit is not serviced on time, a subcontractor blames the hire company, the hire company blames the subcontractor, and you are left with an unusable toilet and nobody taking ownership. We removed that problem entirely by keeping everything in-house.
Our fleet covers the full range of portable sanitation: standard portable toilets for construction sites, luxury toilet trailers for weddings and corporate events, disabled-access units, portable urinals, shower trailers, and full welfare units. Every unit is maintained to a documented schedule, cleaned before delivery, and inspected on return. We do not send out equipment we would not use ourselves.

CMS provides portable toilet hire and temporary sanitation solutions for two broad markets: construction and events. On the construction side, we supply site toilets, welfare units, and disabled-access facilities to meet HSE and CDM 2015 requirements. Units are delivered on agreed dates, serviced weekly as standard, and collected when your project wraps up.
For events — from village fetes and charity runs to music festivals and corporate hospitality — we provide everything from standard portable toilets through to luxury trailer units with flushing systems, hot water, mirrors, and proper lighting. We also supply portable urinals and shower trailers for larger or multi-day events.
Every hire includes delivery, collection, and a full initial stock of consumables. Servicing is scheduled to match your usage patterns, not just a default rota. We plan provision based on expected attendance, duration, and site conditions, because getting the numbers wrong ruins events and stops sites.
Every unit you hire from CMS is owned and maintained by us. We do not broker stock from other companies or rely on third-party fleets to fulfil bookings. This means we know the exact condition, service history, and location of every toilet, trailer, and welfare unit at all times.
Our fleet includes standard portable toilets, disabled-access units, luxury toilet trailers in several configurations, portable urinal blocks, shower trailers, and self-contained welfare units with canteen and drying facilities. Fleet size is managed to match demand — we invest in new units regularly and retire older stock before it becomes unreliable.
All units are cleaned and inspected between hires. Luxury trailers are deep-cleaned inside and out, with all fixtures checked and consumables restocked. We maintain detailed service logs for every unit, which are available to clients on request — particularly useful for construction companies needing to demonstrate compliance during site audits.
We operate from bases in Cheshire and Shropshire, which positions us centrally across the regions we serve. Our coverage spans nine counties in total, taking in the North West of England, parts of the West and East Midlands, and North Wales.
In practical terms, this means we regularly deliver to sites and venues across Cheshire, Shropshire, Greater Manchester, and Merseyside, as well as reaching into Staffordshire, the Welsh borders, and surrounding areas.
