Practical advice for event organisers and site managers. No fluff.
The workhorse of outdoor sanitation. Clean, reliable, and properly serviced. From single units to hundreds.
This is the workhorse. The single portable toilet is the most widely hired sanitation unit in the country, and for good reason — it works. One self-contained cubicle, a lockable door, a flushing mechanism, a toilet roll holder, a hand sanitiser dispenser, and an internal coat hook. No mains connection. No plumbing. Just a clean, functional unit that can be placed almost anywhere and used immediately.
Chelford Mobile Services supplies single portable toilets for construction sites, outdoor events, agricultural shows, private parties, and any situation where permanent facilities are unavailable or insufficient. We own and maintain our entire fleet, which means consistent quality, reliable delivery, and no surprises.
The honest answer is: everyone. Builders, event organisers, farmers, parish councils, film crews, festival promoters, and homeowners extending their kitchen. If people need to use the toilet and there is no building nearby, this is the solution. It is not glamorous, but it is clean, it is private, and it does the job properly.
Every hire includes free weekly servicing as standard. Our service technician will empty the waste tank, clean the interior, restock toilet rolls and hand sanitiser, and check the unit for any damage or faults. The unit is left clean and fresh after every visit.
For events or sites with higher footfall, we offer twice-weekly or daily servicing. The frequency depends on the number of users — we will advise when you book.
We deliver across nine counties: Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire, Flintshire, and Wrexham. Delivery and collection are included in the hire price. No hidden charges, no fuel surcharges, no admin fees.
Our standard portable toilet is a single-skin polyethylene cubicle with a moulded, one-piece construction. It is built to withstand years of outdoor use — UV-stable, impact-resistant, and easy to clean.
Each unit measures approximately 1.2m wide x 1.2m deep x 2.3m tall. The interior is spacious enough for comfortable use by adults of all sizes, with adequate headroom and elbow room. The door opens outward and has a clear occupied/vacant indicator and a sliding bolt lock.
For events where alcohol is being served, standard toilets alone will create queues — particularly on the gentlemen's side. Adding portable urinal blocks alongside your toilet units dramatically reduces waiting times. We recommend one urinal block for every three to four at a drinking event.
If your event is open to the public, or your construction site may receive visitors, you will need at least one accessible toilet unit. These are larger cubicles with ramped access, grab rails, and additional interior space for wheelchair users. We supply them as part of a combined package alongside standard units.
