Practical advice for event organisers and site managers. No fluff.
Alderley Edge sits at the foot of the sandstone escarpment that gives it its name — a pocket of affluence where high-specification residential builds, boutique hospitality venues, and private garden events keep demand for temporary sanitation steady throughout the year. The village's proximity to Macclesfield and Wilmslow means construction traffic is constant, and event organisers working on private estates regularly need facilities that match the setting. Chelford Mobile Services has been supplying portable toilet hire across Alderley Edge and the surrounding lanes for years, and we know the access constraints that come with narrow driveways and gated properties.
Alderley Edge attracts a particular type of project. Large-scale home renovations, extensions on period properties, and new-build developments on the Congleton Road corridor all require compliant welfare facilities. We supply robust site toilets that arrive clean, fully stocked, and ready for use from day one.
The village and its surroundings host a steady calendar of private events — garden parties on the Edge, marquee weddings at nearby country houses, and charity fundraisers at venues like Alderley Park. For these occasions, presentation matters. Our units are delivered in immaculate condition, and we work with event organisers to position them discreetly and practically.
For larger gatherings near the National Trust woodland or along Artist Lane, we can supply multiple units with a servicing schedule tailored to expected footfall. We have supplied facilities for community events on the Edge itself, where vehicle access is limited and planning the drop-off point properly makes the difference between a smooth setup and a logistical headache.
Alderley Edge has seen sustained residential development over the past decade, with plots along Mottram Road, Heyes Lane, and the streets running off Ryleys Lane attracting significant building work. Contractors working on these sites need welfare facilities that meet HSE requirements without creating problems for neighbours or blocking access.
Our depot is close enough to Alderley Edge that we can respond quickly to additional requests or schedule changes. Standard servicing visits are included free of charge on weekly hires, covering cleaning, restocking of consumables, and waste removal.
We also cover the surrounding villages — Nether Alderley, Great Warford, Chelford, and across to Prestbury — so if your project spans multiple sites in the area, a single call handles the lot.
We are a local operator, not a national franchise. That means you speak to someone who knows Alderley Edge, understands the access issues on the quieter lanes, and will not promise a delivery window they cannot keep. Our pricing is straightforward, our units are well maintained, and we do not pad invoices with hidden charges for delivery or collection.
Pristine facilities for private events and celebrations in the Alderley Edge area.
