Practical advice for event organisers and site managers. No fluff.
Tamworth is a Staffordshire border town that feels as much a part of the West Midlands as it does the county. The castle, the Snowdome, and a packed community events calendar give it substance, while its position at the junction of the A5 and A38 keeps construction and logistics activity constant. Portable toilet hire demand here runs year-round.
Tamworth sits at the junction of Staffordshire and Warwickshire, a town with genuine historical weight and a growing modern economy. Tamworth Castle and its grounds are the centrepiece — a Norman castle that hosts medieval re-enactments, outdoor theatre, community festivals, and seasonal markets. The castle grounds and adjacent pleasure grounds need temporary sanitation for any significant outdoor gathering, and the heritage setting requires units that are clean, well-maintained, and positioned with care.
The castle grounds host a packed calendar: the Tamworth Arts Festival, bonfire night, medieval jousting weekends, the summer carnival, and outdoor cinema screenings. The town centre around St Editha's Church and the Market Vaults area sees Christmas markets, food festivals, and civic events. The Assembly Rooms and surrounding streets are used for seasonal celebrations that regularly draw crowds from across the borough.
We supply:
Tamworth SnowDome is one of only a handful of real-snow ski slopes in the UK and attracts visitors from across the Midlands year-round. Associated outdoor events — seasonal markets, fireworks displays, and promotional activities — generate supplementary sanitation demand in the surrounding area. Ventura Retail Park, one of the largest out-of-town retail destinations in the region, also sees periodic events, promotional weekends, and construction activity that requires temporary welfare facilities. The combined footfall from these two destinations makes the south side of Tamworth a consistent source of bookings.
Tamworth's community calendar runs beyond the castle. The annual carnival parade, charity fun runs through the town, events at Dosthill Park, and fixtures at the town's football, cricket, and rugby clubs keep demand steady through the season. The Tamworth Wellbeing and Fitness Festival, junior sports tournaments, and school events add further dates to the schedule. Drayton Manor Theme Park, just outside the town, adds a further leisure dimension, and associated events occasionally require additional portable sanitation.
We provide:
Tamworth sits on one of the Midlands' busiest development corridors. Residential growth to the south and west of the town, commercial construction around the A5 corridor, and logistics developments along the M42 generate constant site welfare demand. The Tamworth Enterprise Zone and surrounding industrial areas see ongoing fit-out and expansion projects, and the SEGRO logistics parks in the wider area bring large-scale construction activity that runs for months at a time.
The countryside south of Tamworth — towards Middleton, Drayton Bassett, and the Tame Valley — hosts marquee weddings, garden parties, and private celebrations at rural venues with no permanent sanitation. We deliver luxury trailers and standard units to properties across the area, with positioning and timing arranged to suit the host.
